Jasmine Peng (b.1995)
Flower born in shades of orange,
grew in luscious evergreens.
She is SWEET and IVORY!
Jasmine Peng (b. 1995) is an artist based in Singapore, graduated Diploma in Fine Art in Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA). Upon graduation in 2020, she was awarded the Woon Brothers Foundation Commendation Prize for her graduation work. Some notable group exhibitions she has participated include Buwan Performance Project: Shift, TCC x NAFA – Savour the Arts Season 4, STB x NAFA – World’S 50 Best Restaurant 2019), and Exploration: Chinese Ink. Jasmine practice explores the themes of human conditions observed from my surroundings, but under this big topic, she is most interested in human interpretation and communication. As such, Jasmine often find inspiration from the malleable quality of language and play on words, their meaning, and metaphors, which she use to create mixed media works that archive and reflect on current affairs.
